Susan,
I have the same problem with Bit by Bit and my iPod crashing -- thought it was only me.
Also, I have that login issue at EdTechTalk at times... Always works after a couple tries.
Lastly, to get your files to upload, don't use the attach button on the download, but just use the preview button. That seems to overcome the attachment hanging issue --
I felt like we were on the same wavelength as I listened...
