Hey Alex, Not you mean by opening up the commenting. We certainly don't get as many comments as we'd like on the site and perhaps there are things we can do to encourage that, but commenting has always been open on ETT - in fact, the most recent one is from your buddy, Arvind.
We do require login in order to comment, but that's just to prevent too much spam.
You and Jen had a conversation about spam filtering, which can be done with bad behavior and akismet -- so by not requiring registration, you may be able to create more of a conversation.
